Pas d’ours. Je sais, à part ma maman chérie, tu es déçu de ne pas avoir la misère d’autrui à te mettre sous la dent au petit déjeuner. Hypocrite !
Aujourd’hui : Rien. Je monte. C’est merveilleux. Dehors il y a de la neige, 6 cm seulement, mais tenace. L et W sont affairés. Ils préparent l’envoi massif du nouveau “catalogue-guide” d’un réseau d’auberges, dont je tairai le nom, mon rôle n’est pas de faire de la publicité gratuite, car, müvmédois (pas dans la prise) par contrat, je suis sous la bienveillance de leurs concurrents directs, HI Hostel. Malgré leur gentillesse, il n’y a pas de raison puisque je paie la chambre alors qu’au HI je ne paie que ce que je casse.
Mais pourquoi me diras-tu, et cette question doit te ronger et t’empêcher de reprendre le cours de la vie insignifiante et presque sans joie que tu mènes comme tout le monde, parce qu’il faut bien, pour ce petit rien, la joie d’un enfant, le soir, quand tu rentres dans ta banlieue pavillonnaire ou ta cage à lapins, 1000 euros par mois - charges comprises, ivre de mauvais alcool et abruti de travail… ou peut-être par goût de l’argent, du bon vin ou des vacances à Avoriaz, ce petit rien qui te fait lever le matin et te jette dans les embouteillages et les bureaux froids. Oui pourquoi, écrivais-je avant cette méchante digression, pourquoi s’obstiner à payer sa chambre dans un Backpa… une Auberge, plutôt que de se rendre dans celle qui est gratuite ?
Et bien saches qu’il n’y a pas, sur ce vaste monde, dont j’ai parcouru un petit bout, un lieu où j’ai mieux dormi.
Ici, dans cette chambre que mon hôte m’a attribuée, dès mon arrivée, sans même me demander mon avis parce qu’elle le connaissait…
Il y a des lieux comme ça… Tiens, mon ami T. par exemple - tu t’en fous, je le sais, fais semblant - eh bien, c’est la chambre d’invité de chez ma grand-mère. Ce sont ses Bras de Morphée à lui… et je trouve toujours ça attendrissant quand il se lève le matin comme s’il revenait au monde …
La dernière fois que j’étais passé chez eux, il y a un peu plus d’un an, en revenant de Churchill (Manitoba) où je n’avais attrapé au sens propre comme au figuré, que des vents et la broncho-grippo-laryngo-métastasée qui va avec. C’est ici que j’ai guéri en un temps record.

Après ma dernière nuit blanche muvmédoise, j’ai fini très tôt ce matin L’Epilogue du polyptyque et… dois-je le rappeler…
L’épilogue, du grec επι (epi) : à la fin et λογος (logos) : discours,

Ce terme désigne en général une partie finale ajoutée, comme de surcroît, à un discours, à un ouvrage, en lui-même complet. C’est l’opposé du prologue et, comme celui-ci sert souvent à présenter au lecteur les personnages avant l’action, l’épilogue peut être employé à faire connaître ce qu’ils deviendront, l’action accomplie. Dans ce cas, il semble, comme le prologue, accuser l’inexpérience de l’auteur et un travail insuffisant de composition. De même qu’une exposition savante révèle par l’action même ses personnages et ses circonstances, de même un dénouement habile devrait éclairer sur le sort des principaux intérêts engagés dans la lutte.
L’épilogue ne se conçoit donc guère comme une partie intégrante d’un ouvrage, discours, roman ou pièce de théâtre, et ne peut se confondre avec la péroraison, la conclusion ou le dénouement. Tout au plus peut-il être l’indication d’une suite du drame, de son lointain contrecoup. Mais le mot a également pris un sens plus large en désignant, dans les romans, un ultime chapitre où l’on apprend généralement des informations sans rapport direct avec l’intrigue.
Il est surtout un hors-d’œuvre, un adieu au public. La Fontaine, croyant avoir fini son œuvre des Fables au vie livre, prend congé du lecteur dans un charmant épilogue :
